Mark Beacom

CEO

30 years experience in senior Operational Leadership and Managerial positions

During the past 30 years, Mark has held increasingly senior operational leadership and managerial positions internationally in companies both public and private including Director General of Midia Resources SRL, the Romanian subsidiary of Sterling Resources Ltd., President of Carthage Energy and its subsidiary Carthage Hydro, Vice-President of Petrokazakhstan, COO of Western Facilities, and President and Founder of Croft Offshore Oil Ltd.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario and a Master of Business Administration degree from the London Business School in the UK.

Ludovic Metayer

17 years international experience in Oil & Gas Field Development Projects and Operations

Ludovic has 17 years international experience in O&G Field Development Projects and Operations. He began his carreer in Saipem in 2002 as Field Engineer on board Heavy Offshore vessels with several assignments in West Africa (Nigeria, Congo, Angola) & Black Sea (Blue Stream). Leaving Saipem in 2005, Ludovic joined Perenco as a production engineer in Gabon before coming back to Project Managers position in Tunisia then in Gabon. Ludovic joined TOTAL E&P Branch late 2010 in Yemen then Russia on senior project positions on large-scale LNG projects. In 2014, Ludovic was transferred to TOTAL Austral in Argentina as Project director.

Ludovic is graduated in Mechnical Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris (ECP) in France.

Cristian Olteanu

HSE Manager

25 years of HSE experience in offshore Oil & Gas sector

Cristian joined Black Sea Oil & Gas in May 2016 as HSE Manager. In this capacity, Cristian is responsible for coordinating the company's health, safety and environmental functions.

Cristian has more than 25 years of HSE experience in the offshore oil & gas sector. He started his career with Petromar Constanta and reached the position of Production Platforms Maintenance Chief Engineer. In 2005, he held various HSE positions with OMV Petrom before moving to OMV Tunisia in 2011 as Senior HSE Manager for Non-Operated Joint Ventures (Serept and TPS). In 2013 he rejoined OMV Petrom to manage the HSE & Risk activities for Neptun Block Deepwater Development, from where he moved to Diamond Offshore Drilling International Romanian Team, the drilling contractor of ExxonMobil for Neptun Deepwater Drilling in early 2014.

Cristian is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Iasi Gh. Asachi Polytechnical University, Romania, holds a Master’s Degree in OH&S Risk Assessment and Management and a NEBOSH IGC and OGC Certification.

Claudiu Micu

Gas Marketing Manager

11 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry

Claudiu has 11 years of experience in oil & gas industry, on both upstream and downstream, with skills covering business development, trading, and acquisition of natural gas.

Claudiu joined Black Sea Oil & Gas in June 2021 as Gas Marketing Manager being responsible for gas sales activities and new green ventures initiatives. Before joining Black Sea Oil & Gas, he had various positions from Sales Responsible to Head of Gas Department in international and local companies such as Linde Gaz Romania, Axpo Energy and Electrica Furnizare.

Claudiu graduated from Politehnica University of Bucharest, with a degree in Economical Engineering.

Daniela Stroe

Human Resources Manager

20 years experience as Human Resources Manager

Daniela has over 20 years’ experience as a Human Resources Manager in a wide range of diverse industries including industrial and manufacturing environments as well as in marketing and sales driven Fast Moving Consumer Goods. She started her career in Personnel with Tofan Group, the largest independent tyre producer and distributor in Romania and was promoted to Human Resources Manager before moving to Assay Abloy Romania, a global leader in door solutions, as HR Manager. Daniela then took on the role of Human Resources Manager for Manufacturing and Logistics in Star Foods and finally, over an 11-year period, as HR Business Partner for PepsiCo Romania.

Daniela graduated with a BA in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnic University of Bucharest.

Daniela Gatin

Finance Manager

11 years of experience in Accounting & Taxation

Daniela has over 11 years of experience in Accounting & Taxation.

Daniela joined BSOG in 2016 as Chief Accountant prior to becoming Finance Manager. Previously, Daniela worked at Fidexpert SRL, the former accounting and consultancy company of Midia Resources SRL where amongst other duties, Daniela was involved in the 2012 offshore drilling campaign in XV Midia Shallow block and Carlyle International Energy Partners’ takeover of Midia Resources in 2015.

Daniela graduated from Bucharest University of Economic Studies, with a Master’s Degree in Accounting, Audit and Management Information Systems and is a Chartered Accountant since 2012.

Oana-Alexandra Ijdelea

15 years of experience in Energy & Natural Resources

Oana is a lawyer with over 15 years of experience in energy & natural resources in Romania.

She gathered significant experience in project development and was involved in the planning and execution of some of the most challenging aspects of the project.

Oana has been with the company since 2012 and for the past 7 years led the legal, regulatory and advocacy efforts of BSOG.

Oana is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of Nicolae Titulescu University in Bucharest.

Ana-Maria Pericleanu

Communication & CSR Manager

12 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry

Ana-Maria has been with the company since 2009 and is in charge of BSOG’s internal and external communications and social responsibility activities since 2016.

Ana-Maria has 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, mostly offshore, being involved in all the stages of an oil & gas project lifecycle. She is also part of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) team which manages the impacts of the MGD Project in the community and BSOG’s media expert in the Romanian Black Sea Titleholders Association (RBSTA).

Ana-Maria is a graduate in Political Sciences from the University of Bucharest and holds a Master’s degree in Business Communication from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest.

Ana-Maria is certified in Public Relations from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in the UK.

Bogdan Vacarelu

Deputy Project Manager

17 years’ experience in Oil & Gas industry

Bogdan has 17 years’ experience in oil & gas industry, on both onshore and offshore projects, with skills covering design, engineering, fabrication and management.

Bogdan joined Black Sea Oil & Gas in April 2016 as Project Engineer and 4 months after was assigned as Wellhead Platform Package Manager, responsible to deliver in time and within budget the MGD Project Ana Wellhead Platform.

He began his career as Mechanical Engineer, working with various national and international companies. In September 2012 he joined OMV Petrom, lead oil & gas company in Romania, were he started as Project Engineer, later moving to Project Manager position, managing various offshore brownfield projects with successful delivery of Lebada NAG Project, one of the most important projects for OMV Petrom offshore asset.

Bogdan is graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Oil & Gas University in Ploiesti, Romania

George Theodor

Contracts & Procurement Manager

16 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry

George has 16 years of experience most of which are in oil & gas industry (both onshore and offshore) but also commercial and industrial developments being skilled on Contracts & Procurement Management as well as on Project Services & Project Controls.

George joined Black Sea Oil & Gas in October 2015 initially as Contract Manager and thereafter in July 2017 was appointed as Contracts & Procurement Manager covering both the exploration and development side of business. Before joining Black Sea Oil & Gas, he worked for Aramco in Saudi Arabia as Contract Advisor within Capital Program Management Division of Gas Operations. Other past roles include positions with OMV Petrom as well as companies in Qatar.

George is graduated in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest and has a Master’s Degree in Management in Construction from the same university.

Marian Nedelcu

IT & Data Manager

20 years experience in IT & Data Management

Marian joined Black Sea Oil & Gas in October 2016 as Data Manager. In 2018 he was assigned as IT & Data Manager and he is coordinating all IT & Data Management activities.

Marian has 20 years experience in oil & gas field development projects and operations. He began his career in PetroSoft, the IT&C Subsidiary of OMV Petrom in 2000 as Programmer and after 4 years acted as IT Project Manager for Upstream and Downstream divisions.

Leaving IT&C Division of OMV Petrom in 2008, Marian joined Upstream Division of OMV Petrom as Project Manager for several GIS Projects.

Marian is graduated in Automation and Industrial Informatics from Oil & Gas University Ploiesti in Romania.
