Job description

We are looking for an experienced Turbine/Rotating Technician with an excellent project management, commissioning, start-up and technical understanding to provide support initially to our Project Midia Gas Development (MGD) and continue during Operational phase.

Role scope

  • Provide support and advice to the Construction & Commissioning, and Drilling/Well Ops departments during the project execution and start-up phase
  • To ensure the operation in parameters of the rotating equipment according to the operating procedures and manuals in order to make sure the production objectives are met.

Activities:

  • Provides support for the preparation of the maintenance plan for rotary equipment
  • Performs maintenance of rotating equipment according to established programs
  • Maintains the working environment in the area of rotating equipment according to requirements
  • Uses working tools in operation to provide support for repairs, interventions on rotating equipment
  • Prepares the daily activity report and identifies any non-conformity and proposes remedial solutions
  • Prepares the spare parts list and makes sure that the stock is at a level that ensures the continuity in operation of the rotating equipment
  • Inspects, tests and adjusts the instruments and systems used to measure the parameters of operation, recording and control
  • Maintains permanent contact with the supplier for any deviation from the normal operation of the rotary equipment
  • Reads and interprets technical documents to ensure that the operation is carried out safely and optimally and according to standards
  • Makes sure that the works can be performed in safe conditions according to the work control system
  • Participates in training programs and maintains required certifications.

Experience & Qualifications

  • University studies completed in the field of mechanical / electrical engineering
  • Experience of at least 5 years in the maintenance of mechanical and rotary systems and equipment in the oil and gas industry
  • RSVTI certification (, pressure vessels, lifting installations,)
  • Solid knowledge of rotary equipment, pumps, compressors and turbines
  • Knowledge of techniques for monitoring the condition of rotating equipment, predictive and preventive maintenance
  • Knowledge of using equipment and instruments for measuring and controlling the area
  • Knowledge of SOLAR turbines
  • Knowledge of the work permit system and isolation procedures
  • Valid BOSIET certification
  • Knowledge of English
  • Intermediate PC operating knowledge: Word, Excel
  • Experience on offshore transfer from ship to platform

Terms and conditions:

  • Location: Vadu/Constanta and short-term Offshore assignments – Romania
  • Temporary role: 1 year
